Deborah Moore Obituary

Deborah J. Bogan – Moore, age 73, of River Park, passed away Sunday afternoon.  Deborah worked as a Paralegal for several law offices for over 35 years and her last position before retiring in 1987 was at the Better Business Bureau.

Deborah was born on June 22, 1947 in Valparaiso, IN to the late Frank and Florence (Shinnabarger) Bogan and lived in River Park most of her life.

She is survived by a daughter, Denise (Thomas II) Groves and their son, Thomas Groves III of South Bend, two sons, Stephen M. Moore of Phoenix, AZ and Daniel F. Moore of Denver, CO.  Also surviving is a sister, Dianne (Al) DeMaegd of Jasper, IN.  A brother, Frank Bogan, preceded her in death.

Deborah was very active in the River Park Business Association, Methodist Church Food Pantry, and missionary work. She took her grandson Thomas alongside with her to all of these since the age of three. She had him reading chapter books also at the age of three, which helped him to achieve the honors program at Adams High School. He has received several college acceptance letters including ND. He was the light of her life being the only grandchild. She was incredibly talented at her ceramic hobby. The pieces she made as gifts for family and friends will always be treasured. I am sure that she has already started a euchre club and is dancing to Motown. Until we meet again, with all our love Mom to the moon and back
