Delmar David Kauffold

Delmar David Kauffold, 83 years old, passed away at 4:20 p.m. on Wednesday, September 23, 2020 at the Sanctuary at Holy Cross, South Bend.  David was born on December 9, 1936 in Three Rivers, MI to the late Delmar and Agnes (Johnston) Kauffold.  On October 2, 1989 in South Bend, David and Lucille Jeanne Thibos were united in marriage.  Lucy preceded him in death on September 17, 2020.

David worked at various grocery stores for 42 years and retired from Martin’s Grocery Store.  He loved the University of Michigan and rooted for the Detroit Tigers.  He was a former member of the Blue-Gold Bowling League.  David enjoyed and always attended class reunions in Three Rivers.

Joint funeral services for David and Lucy will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 2, 2020 at Albright United Methodist Church, 504 W. Mishawaka Avenue, Mishawaka, IN.  Pastor Brenda Burnworth will officiate.  Burial will follow at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger.  Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. on Friday at the church.  Palmer Funeral Home-Welsheimer North Chapel, South Bend, is assisting.
