Denise L. Thomas

Denise L. (Lougee) Thomas, 68, of South Bend passed away suddenly on Wednesday March 4, 2026, at her home.

Denise was born in Inglewood, CA on August 20, 1957.  Adopted at a young age, she found love with her parents Virginia Petty and Glenn Lougee. 

Denise worked as a home health aide, caring for those who needed it.  Her main calling in life however was as a mother, grandmother, and friend. 

Denise is survived by her children; Tawnia Thomas, Shilo Thomas, Cory Thomas as well as 8 grandchildren, 3 sisters, and 1 brother.

Denise was preceded in death by her parents.

A visitation for Denise will be held from 10am-12pm on Monday March 9, 2026 at the Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, 3718 S. Michigan St. South Bend.
