Diana "Jeannie" Jeanne Sult

Diana Jeanne “Jeannie” Sult, 76, of Mishawaka passed away on March 15, 2023, at Creekside Village with family at her side. Diana was known to everyone as “Jeannie.” She attended Mishawaka High School and graduated from Vogue Beauty Academy.

Jeannie was a cosmetologist for years and you may have known her later in her life from serving breakfast and dinner at The Volcano Restaurant in South Bend, Indiana.  She was one of the friendliest people and was known for helping anyone that needed it.

Jeannie was a fan of country music and dancing. She was very proud of her grandchildren and in her younger years she was vital part of their childhood. Jeannie was a grandmother that could be counted on for anything whether that would be a dinner, babysitting or a ride.  She was an animal lover and would rarely not have an animal in the house.

Jeannie is survived by her brother, Gary Sullivan of South Bend, her brother, Mark Sullivan (Rosalie) of South Bend, her son, Robert (Kim) of Mishawaka, her daughter, Beth Paturalski (Tony) of Mishawaka and her son, David (Kim) of Granger. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Tyler Sult (Ariella), Kalie Sult, Conner Sult, Dylan Paturalski, Connor Paturalski and Alex Paturalski. Jeannie is survived by three great-grandchildren, Theadosia, Lyric and Gianna and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jeannie is also survived by a special childhood friend, Shirley Takach, who always came to visit.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Hugo Sullivan, Betty (Sharrer) Sullivan and a brother, Roger Sullivan.

The family would like to thank Jeannie’s special nurse, Stephen, at Creekside Village and the staff from Heart to Heart Hospice for their assistance with their beloved mother.  

A Memorial Visitation will be held 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Monday, March 20, 2023 at Palmer Funeral Homes – River Park Chapel, 2528 Mishawaka Avenue, South Bend, IN 46615. Memorial contributions can be made to the St. Joseph County Humane Society in Diana’a name.
