Diana L. "Lynn" (McDonald) Baker

Diana L. Baker, “Lynn” 65, of Mishawaka, IN., passed away at 9:30 p.m. Thursday, October 7, 2021 in her residence.

Lynn was born on October 11, 1955 in Mishawaka to Robert and Pearl (Carter) McDonald. After meeting in high school, Lynn married Douglas L. Baker on July 5, 1975. She played a mean game of Euchre in her day and mastered crochet. She loved to camp and garden. Lynn made fantastic deviled eggs and fried green tomatoes. She was never able to get the pet pig she wanted but substituted many fur babies in that piggy’s place.

Douglas survives along with two daughters, Christine (Adam) Ross and Laura (Nicholas) Deka, all of Mishawaka. Lynn found pure joy from her four grandchildren; Austin Ross, Gabriel Deka, Trinity Ross, and Xander Ross. She was a bonus Grandma to many, and she loved all her grandchildren to pieces. She will also be missed by nieces, great nieces, great nephews, and multiple friends and cousins.

Diana was preceded in death by her parents; her father-in-law, Leon Baker; her mother-in-law, Ruth Baker; two sons, Justin and Karmine; one sister, Sharon Grimm; brothers, Robert McDonald and Bruce McDonald; and her sister-in-law, Sally McDonald.

Lynn preferred that there be no services. Palmer Funeral Home – Bubb Chapel is assisting the family.

Her wish was that memorial contributions would be made to the St. Joseph County Humane Society, 2506 Grape Road, Mishawaka, IN 46545, or to Pet Refuge, 4626 S. Burnett Drive, South Bend, IN 46614.
