Diane M. (Barrett) Plunkett

Diane M. Plunkett, 82, of South Bend, IN., passed away at 8:29 p.m. Sunday January, 25, 2026 at her residence after lengthy illness.

Diane was born on March 13, 1943 in Mishawaka, IN., to Mike and Jamie M. (Berliaqua) Barrett.

On July 26, 1991 Diane married Jim Plunkett. Jim survives along with her daughter, Michele De La O of San Diego, CA., and three sons; Jamie, Sean and Pat Plunkett, her grandchildren; Lexie, Mariah, Morgan, Major, Declan, Ava, Liam, Chloe, Devon and Lucy along with one great grandchild, James. Diane was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Janet Chamberlin.

Diane worked as a secretary for the South Bend Community School Corporation.

Cremation will take place with a private family service to take place at Fairview Cemetery in Mishawaka.
