Dianna Lee (Stillson) Michalski

Dianna Lee Michalski, 79, of South Bend, passed away at 4:30pm on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, in her home with her loving family by her side.

Dianna was born on May 13, 1946, in Chicago to the late Robert and Mary (Cash) Stillson. She was united in marriage to Jim Michalski, who preceded her in death on August 8, 2013.

Dianna graduated from East State Tennessee University and devoted many years of her professional life working as a Warranty Administrator for Bendix/Honeywell. She was a woman who cherished the simple joys of life. She loved crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, and butterflies. For approximately fifteen years she enjoyed going to her 2nd home in Florida and then became a “snowbird” after selling her home.  While in Florida she was an active member of the choir at First Presbyterian Church in Destin. She also enjoyed shopping for bargains at garage and yard sales and spending time visiting with her beloved grandchildren. Dianna was also a member of the Tippecanoe River-Wythougan chapter of the DAR and the Social Club in Roseland, where she enjoyed fellowship and friendship with many.

Above all, Dianna treasured her family. She is survived by her daughter, Sharna Chapman; her sons, Shane (Melissa) Chapman and Caleb (Liz) Chapman, and her stepdaughter, Brandy Lolmaugh. She was the proud grandmother of ten grandchildren: James (Yi Hui) Lolmaugh, Abi (Cole) Murray, Alicia Chapman, Jordan Lolmaugh, Dane Chapman, Shelby (Nate) Humphries, Caleb Chapman II, Nick Chapman, Noah Red Elk, and Izzy Chapman. She was blessed with a great-grandchild, Oliver Murray. Dianna is also survived by her brother, Robert (Darlene) Stillson Jr.

Dianna will be remembered for her warm heart, her love for her family, and the joy she found in the everyday moments of life. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
