Dirk Veen

Dirk Veen, 55, of South Bend, passed away at 1am on Saturday, September 17, 2022, in Memorial Hospital.

Dirk was born on September 12, 1967, in South Bend, to Charles H. and Lois A. (Detert) Veen.  Dirk’s father, Charles, has preceded him in death. On February 4, 2012, Dirk married Audrey (Jubinville).  She survives along with his mother, Lois; siblings Hardus (Laurie) Veen, Paul (Becky) Veen, Beene (Eva) Veen, Karen (Jay) Green, and Tara Pendill; several nieces nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews; and Dirk’s best friend, Ross Hensel.

Dirk was actively involved in the Special Olympics since he was a sophomore in high school and has achieved well over 200 medals.

Visitation will be 3 to 4pm on Thursday, September 22, 2022 in Palmer Funeral Home – Welsheimer North Chapel. Funeral Service will begin at 4pm in the Funeral Home.
