Dona M. (Whitinger) Clark

Dona M. Clark, 80, residing in Mishawaka, Indiana passed away Thursday, February 23, 2023, at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka, Indiana. She was born on April 22, 1942, in South Bend, IN, to the late Raymond Whitinger and Lillian Marie Kollar Bradshaw and has been a lifelong resident of this area. 

On October 27, 1962, in South Bend, she was united in marriage to Wayne A. Clark, who survives.  Along with her husband, she is survived by her sons, David (Rebecca) Clark of Wheaton, IL, Paul R. Clark of South Bend, IN, and Brian (Brandy) Clark of Knox, IN; three grandchildren, Graham (Katie) Clark of Dallas, Texas, Anika (Fiancé Anthony Lattany, Jr.) Clark of Wheaton, IL, and Lauren Clark of Elkhart, IN; and brother-in-law, Edward Kuespert of Ellicott City, MD.  Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Beverly Jean Kuespert

Dona worked as a school bus driver for JJR and also served as a Teacher’s Aide for the South Bend Community School Corporation for 15 years, retiring in 1997.  Dona attended Indiana University South Bend, where she was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi.   She was also a member of the Busy Hands Sewing Group.  Dona attended First United Methodist Church, Mishawaka.

Funeral Services for Dona will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 1, 2023, at Palmer Funeral Home ~ River Park Chapel, 2528 Mishawaka Ave., South Bend, IN.  Graveside services will follow at Southlawn Cemetery, South Bend.  Friends may gather with the family from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 28th at the funeral home.
