Donald L. Willis

Donald L. Willis, 77, of South Bend passed away on Thursday May 7, 2026, at home.

Donald was born on January 5, 1949, in South Bend to the late John and Ruth (Merifield) Willis. 

On June 22, 1985, he married Ruth Newhart, sharing 30 years of marriage before her passing.

Donald worked for many years at Universal Bearings as well as in construction.

Don is survived by his children; Gina (Jeremy) Rocky, Tammy (Robert) Southern, Shannon (Cash) Jacobs, Andy (Kellie) Willis,  Angie (Tom) Barrus, Roxane Bradley, and Carrie (Randy) Smith.  His brothers, Jim and Bob Willis also survive along with 19 grandchildren.

Don was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and his brother, John.

Don will be interred at a later date at Southlawn Cemetery, South Bend.
