Donna Anderson Obituary

Donna Joyce Personette Anderson was born in White County, Indiana in 1930 and spent most of her life in South Bend, Indiana.

Donna was married to Lester N. Anderson, Jr. in 1948 until 1970 and preceded her in death in 2002. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Saundra (James) Blubaugh of Daphne, Alabama.

She is survived by her daughters, Leslye Anderson (Robert) Runkle of Edwardsburg, Michigan, and Elizabeth Jayne (Randy) McKinley of Brownsburg, Indiana; her grandsons, JB (Sherie) Blubaugh of Daphne, Alabama, Patrick Sechrist of Indianapolis, Indiana, Arie McKinley of Fort Wayne, Indiana (fiancé Lacie Brown), and Wyatt McKinley of Bloomington, Indiana.

Also surviving are her great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn (Seth) Blubaugh Woodruff of Daphne, Alabama, Alex Blubaugh of Daphne, Alabama and Grayson Sechrist of Indianapolis, Indiana; also, her special cousin, Elaine (David) Brady of Logansport, Indiana. Donna had many nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews who were special to her.

Along with her husband, Donna was preceded in death by her brother, Glenn (Jody) Personette; and their parents, Mary Tobias Personette Scherer and GB (Jake) Personette.

Donna was a former member of Zion United Church of Christ; joining Sunnyside Presbyterian in 2008.
She was a member of Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, Grey Lady Service for Memorial Hospital, and the St.
Joseph County Republican Party. She had many passions; her friends, gardening, reading, her home, cooking, The Grand Old Party, and her family.

Donna's family would like to thank her care givers at NoraCare for their special treatment of Donna. Additionally, her nurses Nikki, Danielle, and Karen from Caring Cove Hospice.

To honor Donna's wishes, cremation was chosen, and there will not be a funeral service. We invite you to privately celebrate her memory in your own way. She is with us all in spirit. Donna Joyce Personette Anderson has joined up for her after life journey.
