Donna M. (Miller) Bach

Donna M. Bach, 89 years old, a resident at St. Paul’s Retirement Community, passed away on Friday morning, October 8, 2021 at Memorial Hospital, South Bend.  Mrs. Bach was born on September 27, 1932 in Indianapolis, IN to the late Orville H. and Mabel (Boroff) Miller.  She has lived in South Bend since 1960, moving from Michigan City, IN.  On July 10, 1954 in Michigan City, Donna and Lloyd Gene Bach were united in marriage.  Her husband, Lloyd, preceded her in death on December 29, 2000.

Mrs. Bach was a faithful member of Grace United Methodist Church in South Bend.  She retired from secretarial and was employed with Nipsco, Career Resource Center (IUSB), Wheelabrator, and Mastick Corporations.  Mrs. Bach was a member of the National Secretaries Association, River Bend Chapter.  She was honored to be name Secretary of the Year in 1980.

Mrs. Bach is survived by her two sons, Brent (Debbie) Bach of South Bend and David (Nathan) Bach-Andrews of Queens, NY.  She is also survived by her two grandsons, Brent Alan Bach, Jr and Adam Carl Bach.  Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Marilyn “Lynn” Miller.

A Celebration Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 21, 2021 at the Grace United Methodist Church, South Bend.  Friends may visit with the family from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the church.  A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 22nd, at the Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, 3718 S. Michigan Street, South Bend.  Friends may visit with the family after 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home.  Graveside services and burial will follow at Southlawn Cemetery, South Bend.
