Donti L. Finn

Donti L. "Don" Finn, 62, passed away at 10:06 a.m. on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

 Don was born on April 24, 1964, in South Bend, Indiana, to the late Ronald L. Finn and Sharon J. (Rankin) Finn. A lifelong area resident, he made his home in Osceola, Indiana. On June 20, 1987, in South Bend, he married the love of his life, Jodi L. Englebert.

 Along with Jodi, his loving wife of 39 years, Don is survived by their daughter, Nicole (Eric Gross) Finn of South Bend; Eric's children, Hayden and Hannah, whom Don loved dearly; his brother, Kevin Finn of Granger; nephew, Alex Finn; niece, Avery Finn; and his stepmother, Ann E. Finn of South Bend.  Don also leaves behind a large extended family on Jodi's side.

Don spent his career working in sales and recently retired from Future Sales, LLC. after working nearly 20 years in the family business. Don never met a stranger and was well known and respected in the RV industry. Over the years, he had many different hobbies. As a young man he loved playing softball and his passion for bowling earned him many 300 game rings. For the past 20 years he spent his free time fishing on Lake Michigan on his boat, Fuhgetabowdit. He loved taking out customers, family, and friends to fish and was typically a top contender in the men’s tournaments and captained many first-place women’s tournaments.

He was known for his kindness, integrity, and willingness to help anyone in need. Whether offering encouragement, lending a hand, or simply being present, he touched countless lives through his quiet strength, generous heart, and compassionate spirit.  Family and friends could always count on Don for support, wisdom, and a warm smile.

For the past 3 ½ years, Don courageously battled cancer and participated in clinical trials in hopes of extending his time with loved ones while advancing treatments that may help others facing similar challenges. Throughout his journey, he demonstrated remarkable resilience and determination, never losing his sense of humor, optimism, gratitude, or concern for those around him. His strength and faith inspired all who knew him.

Although our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing that Don's suffering has ended and that he is now whole and at peace in the presence of the Lord. His legacy of faith, love, courage, and devotion to family and friends will continue to guide and inspire all who were blessed to know him.

 A Celebration of Life Open House will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 19, 2026, at VFW Post 360, 1307 E. Jefferson Boulevard, Mishawaka, Indiana.
