Dorotheann “Dorothy” Wasio, 92 years old, passed away at 12:57 a.m. on Thursday, December 3, 2020 at Memorial Hospital, South Bend. Dorothy was born on January 16, 1928 in Mishawaka to the late Oscar and Florence (Norton) Sellon. She has lived in North Liberty since 1979. Dorothy retired from the shipping department at Wells Aluminum in 1993 after 26 years of employment.
Dorothy is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Stephon and Rebecca Wasio of North Liberty; brother and sister-in-law, Douglas Oscar and Susan Sellon; and brothers-in-law, Kenneth Blanford and Jack Pingle. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Jack Willingham; second husband, Donald Wasio; and three sisters, Betty June Blanford, Kathryn Jean Pingle and Virginia Russell.
Per Dorothy’s wishes, there will be no services. Her cremated remains will be placed in a niche at Southlawn Cemetery, South Bend. Palmer Funeral Home, North Liberty, is assisting the family.
