On behalf of the Odemba family, it is with profound sadness that we inform you all that our Grandfather, Father and leader -The Great Chief Dr Alexander Odemba, passed away on July 3rd 2026. He is survived by his wife of 48 years Beatrice Odemba, daughters: Imelda, Yvonne (Frantz Morisseau - husband) and Yolinda, and sons: Clement (Mellissa Rodriguez- fiancé)and Amedeus (Lauren- wife). Also surviving on his behalf are his grandchildren Dominique Jackson, Xavier morisseau, Paul Ryan Morrisseau and Gaia Odemba and Carter whom he adored and looked forward to spending time with in Detroit.
Alex lived a sensational life. As a young man, he went to the seminary in Tanzania in hopes of priesthood before transitioning to business in schooling in Ireland for MBA then Notre Dame and University of Phoenix where he graduated with his doctorate in Business Administration. He embarked to the United States 30 years ago with his family, leaving behind a very successful life in order to insure his children's futures with their education. While guiding his children through life, he also helped many young Africans in the US with reaching their full potential as a guidance counselor at both Sienna Heights University or with weekly barbecues at home.
His list of accomplishments is very impressive but he will most be cherished for his gracious loving and caring nature.
Today the world lost a Titan and a pillar of excellence. He will forever be remembered.
Mungu wetu amempenda raiding kuliko sisi, akamuita baba yetu mbinguni. Mpaka tutakapo kutana mbinguni. Mungu wetu ailaze roho yake
mahali pema peponi. Asanteni sana. Thank you very much for your attention and may God bless all of you and we appreciate all the condolences. Mbarikiwe sana.
