Edgar Steinbaugh, age 66, of South Bend, passed away on Wednesday, December 3, 2025. He was born on October 10, 1959, in South Bend, Indiana, to the late Edgar R. Steinbaugh Sr. and Katherine M. (Stopper) Steinbaugh.
Edgar was a 1978 graduate of Penn High School. Following graduation, he worked in the manufacturing industry, where he dedicated his career. Outside of work, Edgar enjoyed spending time with his friends, attending concerts, listening to music, and watching movies. His love for music and companionship brought joy to those around him.
He is survived by his sisters, Patricia M. (George) Truman of South Bend; Rosemary L. LaBere of South Bend; Bonnie Tuttle of Buchanan; Sandra K. Steinbaugh of Elkhart; and Sherry (Chuck) Raven of Mishawaka. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews who will cherish his memory. Edgar was preceded in death by his parents and sisters: Brenda Gilleard, Connie Stabler and Carolyn Steinbaugh.
Funeral services for Edgar will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at Palmer Funeral Home – River Park Chapel, 2528 Mishawaka Avenue, South Bend. Friends may visit with the family beginning at 11:00 a.m. until the start of the service. Burial will immediately follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
