Edwin E. Kinne

Edwin E. Kinne, 92 of Mishawaka, IN, passed away Saturday, September 25, 2021, at Signature Healthcare in Bremen. He is now where he longed to be in the loving arms of Jesus, his Lord and Savior. He was born December 10, 1928 in Valparaiso, IN to the late Glen and Bonnie (Webb) Kinne. On May 22, 1954, in Endicott, NY, Edwin married the love of his life, Marion Wentzel, who passed away in 2010.

Edwin graduated from Valparaiso High School in 1946 and then went on to study Electrical Engineering at Purdue University, graduating in 1950. After graduation, Edwin enlisted and proudly served his country in the United States Army. Edwin then worked for IBM working on Main Frame Computers until his retirement on July 1, 1987. Edwin was an avid supporter and volunteer for HCJB, currently SonSet Solutions, out of Elkhart. He also loved photography and reading.

Edwin is survived by his daughter, Jeanette Bacsa-Norton of South Bend; son, John Kinne of Plymouth; two grandchildren, Brandon Kinne and Bonnie Bacsa; three great-grandchildren, Nathan, Sarah, and Grace Marian Kinne; a niece, Sharon (Roy) Newby; and a nephew, Tom (Shirley) Kinne. Along with his parents and loving wife, Marion, Edwin is preceded in death by his brother, David Kinne.

Funeral services will be held 11:00am Wednesday, September 29, 2021, at Palmer Funeral Home-Bubb Chapel, 3910 N. Main St., Mishawaka, IN. Burial will immediately follow at Southlawn Cemetery, South Bend. Reverend Daniel Boes will officiate. Friends may visit with the family starting at 10:00am at the funeral home.
