Eleanor Jeanne (Fettel) Clauser

Eleanor Jeanne Clauser (Fettel) was born on June 7, 1931, and she entered the presence of her Lord, Jesus Christ, on February 21, 2021.  She joins her beloved husband, James Clauser, as well as her mother, Helen Fettel, her father, Linn Fettel, and her sister, Bonnie Whiteford.  Jeanne is survived by her sons, Gary Clauser, and Brian (and Sandy) Clauser, as well as her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Jeanne spent her life humbly serving the Lord; she was a faithful organist at Fulkerson Park Baptist Church and Gospel Center Missionary Church, and she was a patient, encouraging piano teacher to hundreds of students.  

In addition to the many people whose lives she touched with her music, Jeanne was a true caretaker.  She was comfortable sitting back and letting others shine, encouraging us all along the way; she cared for her mother and husband, was a devoted mother and grandmother, and she was always there for her family with a sweet smile, words of wisdom, and a listening ear.  

Up until the very end, Jeanne lived by the promise that the “Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” (Joshua 1:9).  Whether playing “Jesus Loves Me” on the piano for her great-grandchildren, or cherishing every call, every visit, no matter how long or short, Jeanne showed us how to truly enjoy and give thanks for the presence of God and others in our lives.

Jeanne lived her life with a quiet dignity and strength; although she will be dearly missed, her family takes comfort knowing that "our God is still on the throne" and we will see her again one day.

Due to current coronavirus guidance, there will be a small, private memorial service for family at 2:00pm EST on Friday, February 26, 2021.   Friends and family who wish to pay their respects and/or watch the live-stream may do so by going to the Palmer Funeral Home website: www.palmerfuneralhomes.com.
