Emily "Joyce" (Wickham) Vogel

Emily “Joyce” Vogel departed this life at 88 years of age on Saturday, February 14, 2026.  She was Mother to five sons and is survived by Greg Feathers of South Bend, Curt Feathers of Mishawaka, and John (Rhonda) Feathers of South Bend.  She was preceded in death by sons, Jeff Feathers and Charles Vogel.  She was Nanna to 11 grandchildren and was preceded in death by grandson, Justin Feathers.  She was blessed with 11 great-grandchildren and two great great-grandchildren.

She was born in Mishawaka on April 15, 1937 to the late William “Paul” and Elizabeth “Ellen” Wickham.  She shared many wonderful memories with her five siblings and is survived by her brother, Dave (Pam) Wickham of Osceola, her sister-in-law, Kay (wife of the late Kit Wickham) of South Bend, and her brother-in-law, J.B. (husband of the late Karen Keena) of Wellborn, FL.  She was preceded in death by siblings John Wickham, Eddie Wickham, Karen (Wickham) Keena, and Kit Wickham.

Joyce was a smart, talented, independent, and determined woman who accomplished all that she set her mind to.  As an avid reader, she spent many hours devouring novels and stories of all kinds.  As well as reading, she loved working crossword puzzles and watching her soap operas.  On many weekends, she could be found at garage and estate sales hunting for treasures she would then sell on Ebay to support herself in retirement.

The family will receive visitors wishing to share condolences on Saturday, March 7, 2026 from 12:00-1:30 pm at Castle Manor in Merrifield Park, Mishawaka.  A private family Celebration of Life and dinner will follow.  In her last days, Joyce was cared for with the help of Heartland Hospice.  In her memory, donations may be made to Heartland Hospice in lieu of flowers.
