Ernest "Ernie" Warren Potts

Ernest W. “Ernie” Potts, residing in South Bend, passed away on Thursday, January 21, 2021 at Memorial Hospital of South Bend.  He was 52 years old.

He was born May 3, 1969 in Parkersburg, West Virginia, to Ernest & Sandra Potts, and has lived in South Bend for the past 4 years.  On October 22, 2019 in LaPorte, IN, Ernie was united in marriage to Dorell Redfrain who survives.  He is also survived by his mother, Sandra Siple of Padre Island, TX, two daughters, Brittany & Brandy Potts, and two step daughters, Julie & Jessica Hunter.  Also surviving is a sister, Glenna Siple of Indianapolis, IN; and two brothers, Roy Potts of Maryland, and Todd Siple of Indianapolis, IN.  He was preceded in death by his father Ernest Potts.

Ernie was a truck driver for Keystone Logistics.  He was a member and Past Master of Lancaster Lodge #57, F. & AM; and a member of Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite Valley of Columbus, OH, and served in the National Guard.

A Memorial service for Ernie will be held at a later date at the Lancaster Masonic Temple.  There will be no services locally.  Those wishing to express their sympathy may do so to the Lancaster Masonic Lodge #57, 224 South High Street, Lancaster, OH 43130.
