Francisca Sanchez

Francisca Sanchez, 57, passed away on Saturday, September 11, 2021 peacefully in her home in Mishawaka after being diagnosed with a terminal illness.

Fran was born September 15, 1963 in Weslaco, Texas to Rafael and Tomasa (Veloz) Sanchez. She is preceded in death by her mother, Tomasa; brother, Gelacio (Joe) Sanchez; and sister, Rufina Wroblewski.

She is survived by her son, Ismael Sanchez; granddaughter, Malia Sanchez; father, Rafael Sanchez Sr. Also surviving are her siblings, Guadalupe, Irma, Rafael Jr., Maria, Linda Van Durmen, & Tomas (Andrea) Sanchez; 9 nieces & nephews; and 15 great-nieces & nephews.

Fran graduated with an accounting degree from Ivy Tech College. She pursued her career working for Sisters of the Holy Cross & several retirement facilities.

Fran loved nature, gardening, her pets, & spending quality time with her many, many good friends.  She enjoyed listening to music, dancing, reading Stephen King books, & traveling.

Fran was a beautiful, kind person. She will be missed by everyone. Fly high angel.

A memorial visitation will be held from 2:00pm-4:00pm and from 6:00pm-8:00pm Thursday, September 16, 2021 at Palmer Funeral Home-Bubb Chapel, 3910 N. Main Street, Mishawaka, IN 46545. A memorial service will take place at 6:30pm at the funeral home.
