Gary Simcox Obituary

Gary Dean Simcox, 62, residing in South Bend, Indiana passed away October 5, 2019 at his home. Gary was born on September 11, 1957 in South Bend, Indiana to the late Ralph Simcox and Mildred (Savage) Simcox and has been a lifelong resident of this area, graduating in 1977 from South Bend Riley High School. Gary worked for many years as an electrician with Burkhart Advertisement, was known as a very friendly person who was willing to give you the shirt off of his back. He enjoyed helping people, and loved his dog, Lucy.

Gary was preceded in death by his former wife, Stacy Simcox. He is survived by his daughter, Maggie (Alex) Nunemaker of Indianapolis, IN; sister, Sharon Rapp of Orange County, CA; and his nephew, Kyle Frasure of New Orleans.

The family will be hosting a celebration of Gary’s life at a later date. Contributions in memory of Gary may be made to ICAN (Indiana Canine Assistance Network) of Indianapolis, 5610 Crawfordsville Road, Suite 2101, Indianapolis, IN 46224.
