Georgeanna (Swartz) Caldwell

Georgeanna Caldwell, 93, residing in Osceola, (formerly of South Bend) Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, February 25, 2020 at Golden Living Center.  Georgeanna was born on April 27, 1926 in New Castle, Indiana to the late Raymond G. and Sarah A. (Reed) Swartz.

Georgeanna retired after 26 ½ years as a secretary at the University of Notre Dame.  She attended First Christian Church, was a member of the Notre Dame University Club and was a 73 year member of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 300.

On August 13, 1950 in Indianapolis, Indiana, Georgeanna married William E. Caldwell who preceded her in death on September 22, 2003.

Georgeanna is survived by her son, Robert E. (Diana) Caldwell of Osceola, and two grandsons, Michael E. Caldwell of Portage, Indiana and Chase T. (Heather) Caldwell of Osceola.

Funeral services for Georgeanna will be at 7:00 pm on Monday, March 2, 2020 at Palmer Funeral Home – River Park, 2528 Mishawaka Ave., South Bend, IN  46615.  Friends may gather with the family from 5:00 – 7:00 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
