Geraldine S. (Rust) Nettrouer

Geraldine Sue (Rust) Nettrouer, 74, of Lakeville passed away on Thursday May 14, 2026.

Geraldine was born on July 17, 1951, in Fulton County, Indiana to the late Virginia Sue (Kovacs) Swift.

She graduated from Plymouth High School, class of 1971.  On December 22, 1973, she married the love of her life, LeRoy Nettrouer, sharing 52 years of love and dedication.

After graduating high school, she worked at the Country Charm Cleaning Center in Plymouth with her mother, where she met her husband LeRoy and then later moved to South Bend, Indiana to grow her their family. While raising 4 children she also assisted with secretary work at the family business Chuck and Sons Plumbing and Heating. Geraldine’s most beloved role was homemaker.

Geraldine remained a busy woman throughout her life, actively participating in her community and her church.  She was a volunteer for a women’s shelter in Noblesville Indiana, called Third Phase.  She was also a proud volunteer at Plymouth Wesleyan Church in the food pantry as well as a greeter and prayer warrior.

Geraldine is survived by her husband, LeRoy, her daughter, Lynnette Nettrouer, and her sons; LeRoy Daniel, Lance (Jessica) and Larry (Britney) as well as 7 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and 1 grand-dog.  Her siblings; Cindy (Roger) Eads, Sheila Warren, and Bruce Rust also survive.

Geraldine was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Debbie Galloway.

Visitation for Geraldine will be held from 5:30pm-7:30 pm on Friday May 22, 2026, at the Palmer Funeral Home-Plymouth Chapel, 300 W. Madison St. Plymouth.  A celebration of life will be held on Saturday May 23, 2026,starting at 3:00pm at Plymouth Wesleyan Church, 11203 Michigan Rd. Plymouth in the Chapel.  She will be interred at a later date at Oakhill Cemetery, Plymouth.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Geraldine’s name may be made to the Food Pantry c/o Plymouth Wesleyan Church, 11203 Michigan Rd. Plymouth, IN 46563.
