Gordon Kirkland Obituary

Gordon Kirkland, 92, of South Bend passed away Wednesday, April 1, 2020 at Trailpoint Village. He was born September 19, 1927 in Glasgow, Scotland, to the late John and Ina Rose Kirkland. On June 21, 1996 in Las Vegas, Gordon married Ruth Kirkland, who survives.

Also surviving are his daughters, Rona (Christopher) Cushman, Rita (Warren) Mattison, and Laura (Dennis) Alexander; son, John (Teri) Kirkland; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and brother-in-law, Robert (Marilyn) Cuskaden. In addition to his parents, he is preceded by his sister, Elizabeth Morrison.

Gordon worked as a mechanical engineer. He owned Haberle Machine and retired in 1994 after 25 years.

There will be no services at this time. Palmer Funeral Home-Hickey Chapel and Southlawn Cremation Services are assisting the family with arrangements.
