Guadalupe "Lupe" Sanchez

Guadalupe Sanchez, 60, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 12, 2022, surrounded by her loved ones.  Lupe was born on May 11, 1962, in Weslaco, Texas to Rafael and Tomasa (Veloz) Sanchez.  She is preceded in death by her mother Tomasa; brother, Joe; sisters, Fran & Rufina. 

Lupe is survived by her fiancé Paul Klein; her faithful dog Buddy; her sons, Tomas (Andrea) Sanchez and Daniel Ciula Jr.  Also surviving are her father Rafael Sanchez, Sr.; her siblings Irma Sanchez, Rafael Sanchez Jr., Mary Sanchez, and Linda Van Durmen; 9 nieces and nephews; her grandchildren Yesenia, Travis, Tomas Jr, Isabella, Esai, Rafael, Isaiah, Nevaeh, Elijah, Messiah, Cierra and Nadia.

Lupe graduated from Washington High School in 1982. She attended IU Bloomington. She loved gardening; cooking for her family and friends; and hanging out with her friends at the neighborhood pubs. She was a wonderful person who was always there for her family and friends. She will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 – 6:00 p.m. on Friday, August 19, 2022, at Palmer Funeral Home, 2528 Mishawaka Avenue, South Bend, Indiana.   A Memorial service will be held at 2 p.m.
