In Loving memory of Guy “Junebug” Smith

Guy Smith, affectionately known to all as “Junebug,” passed away on March 9, 2026, at the age of 75.  A lifelong resident of South Bend, and a graduate of Central High School, Junebug was a familiar face in the community through his years of work at AM General.

Junebug was known for his unique, one-of-a-kind sense of humor and a soft heart that stayed with him throughout his life’s journey.

He has now gone home to be reunited with his beloved parents; Essie B. Smith and Guy Mitch Smith, his brother; Terry Smith, and his daughter; Michelle Smith, who all preceded him in death.  He leaves behind his daughter Dameta Smith of Wisconsin, his ex-wife Sandra Smith, and a host of cousins, and friends who remember his spirit.

While there are no formal services at this time, we are planning a Special Memorial Tribute in his honor later this summer to celebrate his life and the memories we share.
