May God receive her with His blessings. As a faithful, practicing Muslimah, she was buried the following day at Fairview Cemetery according to the Islamic burial rites.

Eva was born, raised, and lived in her beloved Mishawaka home her entire life. She retired as a private secretary from the Ball Band Plant (Uniroyal) to start her family. Due to Eva’s selfless efforts in establishing the mosque and her dedication to the community, she was honored with a lifetime membership. She also received a lifetime membership in the PTA association. Eva was quite active in her community volunteering, including her involvement with the Hannah Lindahl Children’s Museum.

She is survived by her three children: daughter Aliya Jojo, son Ali (Jo Ann) Jojo, son Ahmed Mustafa II (Dana) Jojo; four grandchildren: Laylaa (Christian) Thompson, Azizah Jojo-Cunningham, Yasmeen Jojo-Cunningham, Kinzi Jojo; and, one great grandchild: Calvin Thompson.

She was invited back for several years in the Elkhart Schools to give the talk to certain grades. She also gave the same talk to different church clubs at their request. Eva took with her different articles from Syria, her parents’ maiden country, and put them on display for all to be seen.
