Henry “Hank” Springman, 73, of South Bend, passed away on June 3, 2022, at Memorial Hospital. He was born in Gary, Indiana on January 12, 1949, to Anthony and Joan Springman, who are deceased. Henry was one of 11 children and survived by several nieces and nephews. In August 1977, he married Leslie Kring Wharton, who survives along with three children, Troy A. Wharton, Erica L. Wharton Truhn and Neil Springman-wife Cora. Henry was a proud Grandpa of five grandchildren, Betheni Taylor, Elle Truhn, Anna Truhn, Riley Springman and Nick Springman. In 2010, he retired from Curtis Products as a welder. He previously worked at South Bend Stamping, Leo Applicators and The Steel Mill. Being a real handy man and deep thinker, he always wanted to figure out how to fix things his own way. Henry enjoyed camping with family, RVing to many locations, fishing, cooking, watching all the old Christmas movies and always hoped to restore his ’61 Chevy.
