Jack Fansler Obituary

Jack N. Fansler, 87 years old, passed away Monday evening, September 28, 2020 at Memorial Hospital, South Bend.  Jack was born on March 27, 1933 in Mishawaka to the late George Maynard and Irene (Esken) Fansler.  He has been a lifelong resident of Lakeville, Indiana.  On May 26, 1956 in South Bend, Jack and Therese M. Vaszari were united in marriage and were able to enjoy an amazing 6 decades together.

Jack proudly served his country with the United States Marine Corp and often relayed his memories of his time spent in their service. He retired in 1998 as Plant Manager for Monarch Textile Rental, Inc. after 29 years of employment.  Jack was also a member of the Lakeville American Legion and Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church.

Jack enjoyed working with his hands and often could be found tinkering on various projects whistling whatever tune he had in mind for the day. He appreciated nature and spent much of his time outside. Jack was a family man and had an easy way of talking to people of any age and accepted you as you were. He possessed a  general humor to him that never failed to make you laugh. He will be missed by many.
