Jean A. (Wentz) Kaser, 82, of North Liberty, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, February 21, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.
Jean was born on July 16, 1943, in North Liberty to the late Richard and Helen (McFarland) Wentz. After graduating from high school, she earned her associate’s degree and began her career as a bookkeeper, working first at Community State Bank and later at 1st Source Bank.
On August 12, 1962, she married the love of her life, Daniel Kaser. Together, they shared 63 wonderful years of marriage, united in steadfast love and devotion.
Jean and Dan were dedicated members of the North Liberty Christian Church, where their faith and church family were central to their lives.
Jean was an exceptional homemaker who took great pride in creating a warm and loving home for her family. She loved sewing and often poured her care and creativity into handmade projects, thoughtful crafts, and special touches that reflected her generous spirit. In quiet moments, she enjoyed working on puzzles, finding both challenge and relaxation in carefully fitting each piece together.
Jean is survived by her beloved husband, Dan; her daughter, Amy Troyer; her sons, Daniel (Kathryn) Kaser and Jason (Val) Kaser; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren, with one more eagerly anticipated. She is also survived by her sister, Susie (Logan) Ross, and her sister-in-law, Ruth Wentz.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her son-in-law, Dave Troyer; and her siblings, Marlene Diemer, Dick Wentz, and Jim Wentz.
