Jeanie Irene Scigliano, 83, passed away after a long battle with lung cancer. Born January 8, 1943 in Dearborn, Michigan, Jeanie lived a life surrounded by family and loved ones. She was the daughter of the late Helen and Claude (Kelly) Himelberger.
Jeanie worked at Underground Pipe and Valve for nearly 15 years. After her work at Underground Pipe and Valve, she served her community as a para professional with the South Bend School Corporation. Her dedication to work and commitment to her coworkers will be remembered.
More importantly, Jeanie’s devotion to her daughters and her grandchildren will never be forgotten. Her quiet perseverance while raising her children served as a testament to her love and devotion to them. She will also be remembered for her love of animals every size and shape. The memories she leaves behind are her legacy.
Jeanie is survived by her sisters Patricia Peterson and Carole Mattia; her dear cousin Dale McAllister; her daughters Patricia (Jefferey) Hofferth and Lisa (Brad) Podojil; her grandchildren Connor Burke, Kyle Burke, and Mia Slabaugh.
