Jeanne Morris

Jeanne L. Morris, 82, of South Bend, IN., passed away at 12:33 a.m. Sunday, June 17, 2018 at her son’s
home in South Bend. She was born on March 15, 1936, in South Bend, IN., to the late Addison and Marie
Kinas. She was united in marriage to Jerry R. Morris on April 21, 1956, in North Liberty, IN.
Jeanne is survived by her daughter, Jill (Don) Vanderhoof of Nideggen, Germany; two sons, Kent Morris
of North Liberty, IN and Mark (Kathy) Morris of South Bend, IN; eight grandchildren; Lisa (Mark) Morris,
Quin (Carissa) Morris, Ben Vanderhoof, April Vanderhoof, Nathan Morris, Dawn (David) Erazo, Kyle
(Laura) Morris, and Chad (Leah) Morris; one great-grandchild, Mia; two sisters, Peggy (Dean) Kesler of
South Bend and Sharon (Jim) Wesolek of South Bend.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, John Kinas. Jeanne was a substitute teacher, a
Sunday School teacher and a member of Lakeside Baptist Church in Lakeville.
Jeanne was a devoted mother, wife and grandma and a special friend to many, but most of all she was a
Christian who loved her Savior, Jesus Christ, and desired to walk in His ways. Her love for Him was
reflected beautifully in her life.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at Lakeside Baptist Church, 515
Michigan Trail, Lakeville, IN. Reverend Vito Rulli will officiate.
Graveside services and burial will take place at Southlawn Cemetery, South Bend, IN.
Friends may visit with the family from 4-7 p.m. Friday at the Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel,
3718 S. Michigan St, South Bend, and also on Saturday from 10-11 a.m. at Lakeside Baptist Church prior
to the service.
