Jerome "Jerry" M. Rohyans

Jerome (Jerry) M. Rohyans, 82 years old, passed away at 8:20 p.m. on Monday, May 30, 2022 at his home, surrounded by his loving family.  Mr. Rohyans was born on January 26, 1940 in Ft. Wayne, IN to the late Joseph and Marie (Hohman) Rohyans.  On May 28, 1960 in Ft. Wayne, Jerome and Judith A. Beckman were united in marriage.

Along with Judy, his loving wife of 62 years, Jerry is survived by their children, Laura Kay (Paul) Williamson of Mishawaka and Mike (Ann) Rohyans of Mishawaka; 11 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; sister, Sandra McDonald of Beaufort, SC and brother, Phillip (Rosemary) Rohyans of Syracuse, IN.  Along with his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his son, Terry; sister, Alice Marie; and brother, John.

Jerry served in the United States Marine Corps from 1957 – 1965 and was an avid supporter until his last breath.  Softball was a huge part of his life, recognized as a left-handed fast pitch pitcher into his sixties.  He enjoyed bicycling across miles of Indiana and woodworking and craft shows were also part of what he enjoyed.

Per Jerry’s wishes, there will be no services or visitation.  Palmer Funeral Home-Bubb Chapel, Mishawaka is assisting the family.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Jerome M.
