Jerry L. Divens Jr.

Jerry L. Divens, Jr., 62 years old, passed away at 2:15 a.m. on Friday, July 17, 2026 at Majestic Care of West Allen, Fort Wayne, IN.  Jerry was born on May 15, 1964 in South Bend to Jerry and Dolores (Walters) Divens.  Jerry worked with his dad in landscaping as well as other jobs that he enjoyed.

Jerry is survived by his father, Jerry L. Divens, Sr. of Osceola; two sons, Jesse and Jamie Divens; and four grandchildren, Andy Divens, Lilly Divens, Jaxon Freck and Saira Freck.  Jerry is also survived by his two sisters, Lisa (Rodney) Martin and Theresa (Mark) Jellison as well as his aunts, uncles, cousins, and nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Dolores; two brothers, Martin “Marty” and Brian Scott Divens; and grandparents, Louis F. and Marjorie (Hazelip) Divens and Forest and Eleanor (Nolan) Walters.

There will not be any services for Jerry.  A private burial will take place at Southlawn Cemetery, South Bend.  Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, South Bend is assisting the family.  Online condolences may be offered to Jerry’s family at www.palmerfuneralhomes.com.
