Jerry Alan Fish, also just known as “Fish” to many, 73, of South Bend, IN., passed away at 5:05 p.m. Thursday, August 4, 2022, at Memorial Hospital in South Bend.
Jerry was born on October 26, 1948 in South Bend to John Melvin and Eleanor (Gardner) Fish.
On September 23, 1967 in South Bend, Jerry married Susan Nijak. Susan preceded him in death on June 13, 2007. Jerry is survived by his daughters; Jeannie (Phil) Barnette and Kathy (Andrew) Ruess, two grandchildren; Jerry Barnette and Vinnie Barnette, his brother, Jon Fish, Sister-in-law, Nancy (Kevin) Park, his nieces, and nephews; Amy (Charlie) McLeod, Adam (Paige) Fish, Stan (Stephanie) Park, Sarah O’Hara (Jake Piechowiak), Jake (Kerri) Stevens and many great nieces and nephews. He is also survived by Roger Lovitt, his best friend of 60+ years. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, his siblings; Connie Kush, Dana Fish and Dawn Fish, his sister-in-law and brother-in-law; Kathy and Fred Stevens, and nephew, John Stevens.
Jerry graduated from Washington High School in 1966. He worked as a union electrician for 40 years with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) where he also taught 2nd year apprentices.
Jerry loved golf, all his friends at Catch 22, wintering in Florida and all his friends in Bonita Springs, FL.

A memorial gathering will take place on Sunday, August 14, from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the Palmer Funeral Home – Bubb Chapel, 3910 North Main Street, Mishawaka.
