Jill S. Kucharski, aged 78, passed away peacefully with her loved ones by her side, at her home, May 8, 2026. With loving memories, we celebrate the life of Jill, a beautiful, kind and energetic soul. Born on August 17, 1947, in South Bend Indiana to Robert and Ann (Nyikos) Megan.
Jill grew up with the values of hard work, perseverance and family first, those values became the foundation of the remarkable life she built. A graduate of Clay High school, she carried herself with quiet determination and a steady spirit that inspired those around her.
Jill shared a beautiful Life with her Husband, Stanley Keith Kucharski, whom she married on April 10, 1970, in Niles, Michigan. Stanley proceeded her in death on January 10, 2024, and their bond remained a lasting example of commitment, partnership and enduring love. Together, they built a family that was the center of Jill’s world and the source of her greatest pride.
Jill is survived by her sister-in-law, Francele Megan. She is also survived by her children, Julie (Joe) Regulinski, Janet (Bryan) Kucharski, Richard (Chris) Kucharski, and Thomas (Ginger) Kucharski. Her legacy continues in her loving grandchildren; Tyler, Brooke (Caleb), Alex (Chloe), Rob (Krista), Cody, Candace, Nick, Kasey (Patrick), Zackary (Paige), Grace, Amelia, Norah, Jennifer, Jessica, Dylan and Shelbey. She also cherished her great grandchildren; Kyren, Rylee, Lucian, Lennix, Jackson, Sutton, William and Jayden.
Jill now joins her parents, Robert and Ann (Nyikos) Megan, son Matthew Kucharski and daughter-in-law Lisa, her brother, Michael Megan and her beloved Husband, Stanley Kucharski in heaven.
Jill lived with purpose and gave her best in every season of Life. She worked for Freeman Spicer for 8.5 years, Ridge Co. for 28.5 years and Palm Automotive for 3 years. Her work ethic was unmatched, and she approached every responsibility with reliability, focus and pride. She understood that success is not only measured by what we accomplish, but by how faithfully we show up each day, and she lived that truth with grace.
Outside of work, Jill embraced the simple joys that made Life rich. She enjoyed puzzles, crosswords, tending to her flowers and watching Nascar. She loved the excitement of a good garage sale and had a deep affection for Ben’s pretzels always asking her son-in-law, Joe, where hers was at. She was full of energy and always busy and those who knew her will remember her as a loving, caring and doting Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother with just enough stubbornness to make her unforgettable. Her personality was vibrant. Her presence was steady and her love was unmistakable. She did not need grand gestures to make a lasting impact, because her love was evident in the way she cared, the way she worked, and the way she showed up for her family. Her legacy lives on in the lessons she taught, the memories she created and the generations who will continue to carry her influence forward.
As Maya Angelou, once said, “People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.” Jill made people feel loved, supported and valued, and that is a legacy that will endure.
In keeping with Jill‘s wishes, cremation is being handled by Palmer Funeral Home- Hoven Chapel. A celebration of Life will be scheduled at a later date.
