Jimmie D Anderson

Jimmie D. Anderson, 66, of Mishawaka, IN., passed away at 9:00 p.m. Monday, June 1, 2026 at Briarcliff Health and Rehabilitation in South Bend.

Jimmie was born on May 9, 1960 in Jackson, Mississippi.

On June 7, 2008 in Mishawaka, Jimmie married Patricia L. Finkbiner. Patricia survives along with Jimmie’s children; Tasha Nicole Horne of Minnetonka, MN. Iyana Gilbert of Jacksonville, FL., Tylashel (Demarco) Bennett of Columbus, OH. and Jolaune Demerius Anderson of Huntsville, AL. four granddaughters, seven grandsons, two great granddaughters and four great grandsons, his sister, Sandra M. Anderson of Atlanta, GA. His brothers; Willie (Natascha) Watkins of Richmond, VA., Nathan L. Magee of Benton Harbor, MI., Robert L. (Daneee) Magee Jr., of Benton Harbor, MI. and Nicholas Magee of Benton Harbor, MI., his uncle Rudy Anderson of Atlanta, GA, his in laws; Ken (Carol) Finkbiner of Plymouth, IN., his brother in laws, Tom Finkbiner of Holland, MI., and Bill Finkbiner of Dallas, TX., along with many nieces and nephews.

Jimmie was preceded in death by his mother, Doris Magee, his stepfather, Robert Magee Sr., his grandmothers; Emma Anderson and Mary Magee.

Jimmie graduated from Benton Harbor High School and served in the U.S. Navy.

A memorial service – celebration of life will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, June 13 at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church,  616 Lincolnway East, Mishawaka, IN with a visitation time beginning at 10:30 a.m. until service time. The Rev. Nathaniel Aram Warne Adishian will officiate the services. Palmer Funeral Home – Bubb Chapel is assisting the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Paul’s Episcopal Church or to the family to help defray final expenses.
