Jimmy N. Stacy, 75, of Mishawaka, In., passed away at 5:22 a.m. Sunday, February 22, 2026 in his residence with his family by his side after a lengthy illness.
Jimmy was born on January 17, 1951 in Savannah, Tennessee to Clifton and Ruby (May) Stacy who both have preceded him in death.
On July 3, 1971 in Mishawaka Jimmy married Susan K. Martsolf. Susan survives along with their sons; Jeramie James Stacy, Jimmy Joe (Jamie) Stacy and Joseph Don (Brandi) Stacy, grandchildren, Jeramie’s children; Dustin James Stacy (Brittany), Kathlyne Marie Stacy (Tyrees), Jordan Christopher Stacy, Madison Ann Stacy (Carmine), Kinsley Mae Stacy, Jeramie James Stacy Jr., Jimmy’s children; Samantha Nicole Besinger (Cameron), Alexis Nicole Stacy (Caden), Tre’ Maliq Harvey (Claire), Joey’s children; Joseph James Stacy, Delaney Ronnie Stacy and Skyler Zachery Stacy and seven great grandchildren.
Jimmy served in the U.S. Army from 1971 until 1975. From 1975 until 1985 he worked at Owen’s Corning Fiberglass in Mishawaka, from 1985 until 2005 he worked at Claeys Candy in South Bend and from 2005 until the present he worked at Quality Steel and Aluminum Products in Elkhart.
Jimmy’s most important thing in his life was family and then his work. He loved to camp and fish. He also enjoyed deer hunting. He liked watching Notre dame football and was a San Francisco 49’s fan.
Services for Jimmy will be on Friday, February 27 at 6:00 p.m. at the Palmer Funeral Home – Bubb Chapel, 3910 N. Main Street, Mishawaka with a visitation from 4:00 until service time at 6:00 p.m.
Major Mark Martsolf will officiate the services. VFW Post #360 will conduct military honors.
