Joanne Ida (Jetzke) Cantu

Joanne Ida Cantu, 57, passed away peacefully on Saturday June 13, 2020 at her home in Palm Bay, Florida. Joanne was born on January 11, 1963 in Buchanan, MI to the late James A. Jetzke and Shirley Williamson-Jetzke.

On July 28, 1984 in Buchanan, Michigan, she married the love of her life, Oscar J. Cantu. Joanne and Oscar loved to explore and travel together. Joanne especially loved when Oscar took her out on the Motorcycle. Joanne was also incredibly involved – taking part in bowling, baseball, and her book club.

Along with her husband, Joanne is survived by her daughter, Aimee Cantu of South Bend; son, Tomas Juan Cantu of Palm Beach, Florida; her two grandchildren, Donnell Langenderfer III and Anthony Allen Juan Cantu. Along with her parents, Joanne is preceded in death by her brother James Jetzke, Jr.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, June 22, 2020 at Palmer Funeral Home – Guisinger Chapel, 3718 S. Michigan St., South Bend, IN. Pastor Russell Shefbuch,  will officiate. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Monday. Burial will follow at Southlawn Cemetery. Contributions may be made to help the family with funeral expenses.
