Job Suarez Obituary

Job Suarez, age 83, passed away on Sunday, December 21, 2025, in South Bend, Indiana. He was born on March 3, 1942, in Michoacán, Mexico, to the late Angel Suarez and Prudenciana Alcantar.

In 1994, Job came to the United States, where he proudly earned his citizenship. He worked for 14 years with Sara Lee, where he was known for his dedication and strong work ethic. Job was united in marriage to Esther Proa Suarez, and together they celebrated 60 years of marriage—a lifetime of love, partnership, and devotion.

Job was a handyman in every sense of the word. He loved to build, fix, and create, and he took great pride in being able to craft just about anything with his own hands. His resourcefulness, creativity, and willingness to help others were defining qualities that his family will always remember.

He is survived by his loving wife, Esther, and their children: Elvia Suarez, Celerina Suarez, Carolina Suarez, Solomon Suarez, and Felipe Suarez. He also leaves behind a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will carry his memory forward with love.

A funeral service for Job will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 30, at Our Lady of Hungary – 829 W. Calvert St, South Bend, IN. Friends may visit with the family on Monday, December 29, from 3:00–6:00 p.m., and again on Tuesday beginning one hour prior to the service. Graveside service and burial will follow immediately at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in South Bend.
