John H. Cheeseman

John H. Cheeseman, age 70, of South Bend, Indiana, passed away in his home on Thursday, April 29, 2021.  He was born on October 30, 1950 in Audubon, New Jersey to the late Charles, and Aida (Arguinzoni) Cheeseman.  John graduated with his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Miami and worked as a clinical lab manager.

On June 25, 1989 in Lagrage, IL he united in marriage to Patricia Gallagher who survives.  He is also survived by daughters, Rachel (Christopher Rieck) Cheeseman of South Bend, and Maria (Brett Geissinger) Cheeseman of Indianapolis.

John was a loving husband and father and will be deeply missed by all that knew him.  He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Santa Maria Council 553 and Father Julius A. Nieuwland 4th Degree Assembly 242, and a member of the Immaculate Conception Secular Franciscan Fraternity.  John loved to travel and visiting places like Italy and Montreal over the years.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, May 3, 2021 at St. Anthony de Padua Catholic Church, 2310 E. Jefferson Blvd, South Bend.  Friends may visit with family beginning at 11:30 a.m. with parish rosary at 12:30 p.m.  Graveside services and burial will follow at Southlawn Cemetery in South Bend, IN.  Palmer Funeral Home – River Park Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
