John Jackson Obituary

John P. Jackson, 58 years old, passed away at 9:50 p.m. on Friday, May 6, 2022, at his home in Niles, MI after battling cancer for the past 6 years.  John was born on December 8, 1963, in Norfolk, VA. John was an Army Veteran. He worked in the carpet industry as an installer for his cousin Kevin Vetterly.  He and John were very close. John was a graduate of Brandywine High School. John loved Harleys, Fishing, Nascar, Dale Earnhardt Sr and Jr. He played pool and darts for many years. He was a free spirit and a rebel without a cause. John was preceded in death by his father, John Preston Jackson, mother, Dorlene (Baker) Mori and stepfather, Dale Mori.

John is survived by his three sons, Johnathan R.G. Jackson, Prestin J.D. Jackson, and Chance G.T. Jackson, all of South Bend, and their mother, Tanya (Kelly) Singleton, a daughter, Karissa Holderbaum of Bremen, and the mother of Karissa, Christine (Mike) Ward. John is also survived by his sister, Lori Salyers, niece Cayla Salyers, and nephew Jeremy Salyers, all of Soldotna AK. 

The family would like to thank Lakeland Hospital, Hospice, and his cousins Linda, Pat, Ellen and Billy and Johnny’s buddy Christopher for opening their home to Johnny till the end. God Bless your hearts. 

There will be no services or visitation at this time. Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, South Bend is assisting the family.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of John P. Jackson may be donated to Palmer Funeral Home to help our children with the financial services, 3718 S.
