Joseph Alan Briggs, 57, of South Bend passed away on Friday July 31, 2026, at St. Joseph Health System-Mishawaka Campus.
Joseph was born in Evansville, IN on January 10, 1969, to the late Loren and Clara (Dages) Briggs.
On November 11, 1995, he married Sandy, sharing 22 years together before her passing in 2017.
Joseph is survived by his children; Kelsey Briggs, Courtney (Kenny) Briggs, Hannah Briggs, Matthew Briggs, and William (Taylor) Briggs, as well as his grandchildren; Vincenza(Rosie), James, DJ, and Omari. Also surviving are his siblings; Teresa Briggs, LuAnn (Briggs) Davis, and Gregory Briggs.
Joseph was preceded in death by his wife and his parents.
Visitation for Joseph will be held from 10am-12pm on Tuesday August 4, 2026, at Evangel Heights United Methodist Church, 114 N. Ironwood Dr. South Bend, IN 46615. Funeral service will begin at 12pm and burial will follow at Southlawn Cemetery, South Bend.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Michiana Pop Warner.
