Joseph Golubski Obituary

Joseph, a very likeable and accomplished person, was known to everyone as Joe. He was an extraordinarily kind and honest person. Joe is remembered for his pleasant personality, quick humor, love of animals and solid business mind. He had strong family ties and was a dedicated Catholic. He was a Eucharistic Minister and Reader at Christ the King Catholic Church.

Joe was born on May 7, 1957 to Ben and Jean Golubski. He was the youngest of three children. His father, Ben, was a respected realtor with a jovial personality, who operated his own firm. His mother, Jean, was a homemaker, known for kindness, ethnic cooking and exquisite flowers.

He had a gentle spirit and strong determination. Joe was very close to his parents. He was always there whenever they needed them, and never missed a family event. Joe was a loyal Notre Dame football fan, a passion he shared with his parents.

Joe excelled in history and politics. He was an avid reader. Joe usually carried scholarly books with him, and used every spare minute to dive into historical pursuits. Always armed with facts and statistics, Joe enjoyed involvement in stimulating debates and in intellectual discussions.

He loved music, especially classical music. Joe learned to play the trumpet in high school and continued playing that instrument throughout life. He loved to frequent live theater and musical performances. Joe was a movie buff. He had great recall and entertained others with near verbatim recitation of movie dialogue and scenes. He relished Polish food. One of his favorite meals consisted of Polish sausage with cabbage, noodles, mashed potatoes, and pierogis.

With his big heart, Joe always nurtured animals. He was fond of all dogs, especially German Shepards. He always adopted his pets from shelters, because his heart went out to them. Recently, Joe adopted three dogs – Bella, Gretchen and Gunner – and gave them a loving home.

He graduated from Holy Cross Grade School and St. Joseph High School. Joe had a Master in Business Administration from (MBA) from Bethel College; a Master in Accounting and Financial Management and a Graduate Certificate in Investment Analysis from Keller Graduate School, DeVry University; and a Bachelor of Science in Business from Indiana University. Joe was a member of the Institute of Management Accountants. Joe was a fun-loving person who acquired a wide range of friends and business associates who enjoyed and respected him.
