Joseph Kintzele Obituary

Joseph E. Kintzele passed away peacefully on February 4, 2024, in South Bend, IN, at the age of 71. Born on April 2, 1952, in Grand Rapids, MI, to the late Richard W. and Rose M. (McDonald) Kintzele.  Joe grew up in a loving family alongside his siblings, Mary Ellen (Chester) Koziol, Loretta (Thomas) Armock, Robert {Linda) Kintzele, Jeanette (Brian) Pritschet, Ginger Such, and the late Richard, Roseanne, and John  Kintzele. Joe also leaves behind many cherished nieces and nephews and countless friends whom he loved to spend time with.

After graduating From Clay High School, Joe attended Indiana University Bloomington to earn a Bachelor’s degree in business in 1975. Joe was an avid sports fan since playing basketball for the South Bend Clay Colonials. One of his greatest joys was watching high school games and events for his nieces and nephews.

Joe enjoyed a career as an over-the-road truck driver for most of his life, retiring at age 70. Joe was known for his sense of humor and quick wit. He was a generous and loving man who never missed acknowledging birthdays and celebrations of family and friends.

Joe’s Catholic faith was important to him, as evidenced by his humble and selfless manner. Joe was always ready to lend a helping hand, visit a sick Friend, and celebrate other‘s accomplishments. Often praised by co-workers for his amazing work ethic, he was also known to never complain.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at Palmer Funeral Home - Welsheimer North Chapel. Friends may visit with Family on Monday, February 12, 2024, From 5:00

pm-7: 00pm at the funeral home. A private burial will follow at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park.  In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the American Cancer Society in Joe‘s memory.
