Joseph Lewicki Obituary

Joseph John Lewicki, born on May 17, 1973, in Chicago, Illinois, passed away on June 11, 2026, in St. Joseph, Michigan.

He spent 13 years working at Chikaming Country Club as the ground's maintenance, where he took pride in his work and contributed faithfully to the care and upkeep of the grounds. His dedication, reliability, and strong work ethic were evident in all that he did. His presence was valued not only for his skill but also for the good nature he brought to each day.

Joseph received some college education, and throughout his life he continued to learn through experience, hard work, and the many roles he had. He enjoyed fishing and found peace in the simple pleasure of time spent near the water. He also enjoyed the companionship of cats, appreciating their comfort and quiet presence. He valued the familiar, the steady, and the meaningful, and he found joy in the moments that others might overlook.

Joseph is survived by his mother, Pamela R. (Williams) Tamalunas; mother of his children, Judy Lovison; his son, Joseph Lovison, and daughter-in-law, Brooklyn Lovison; his daughter, Priscilla Lovison; his daughter, Kimberly Lewicki; his sons, James Lovison, Rowdy Lovison, Jax Lovison, and Jonathan Lewicki; his grandchildren, Finn and Delilah; and his sisters, Brandie Lewicki, Roseanna Zakrzewski-Beckman, and Star Zakrzewski. He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Lewicki.

Joseph was a friendly man whose easygoing nature and steady presence made him a comfort to family and friends alike. He lived his life with a practical hand and a kind heart, and he was admired for being a jack of all trades, always willing to help, fix, build, or lend support wherever it was needed. He will be deeply missed.
