Joyce D. Lemert

Joyce D. Lemert, 80, of North Liberty, IN passed away at 12:15 a.m. Monday, July 20, 2015 at Miller's Merry Manor, Plymouth, IN.  She was born on September 24, 1934 in South Bend, IN to Stokes and Maude (Williams) Toone.  She married Larry G. Lemert at Sumption Prairie Church in South Bend on August 10, 1985.

Mrs. Lemert is survived by her husband, Larry G. Lemert; five daughters, Brenda (David) Shaffer of Elkhart, IN, Kay (Paul) Bergland of North Liberty, IN, Karen (Dick) Bogard of South Bend, IN, Roxane (Jesse) Minix of Winamac, IN and Lori (Vernon) Sauer of Lakeville, IN; four sons, Larry (Donna) Lemert Jr. of Plymouth, IN, Mike (Gail) Lemert of New Paris, IN, Mark (Maria) Lemert of Plymouth, IN and Mark Blosser of South Bend, IN; sixteen grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and brother, Roy (Carolyn) Toone of Salt Lake City, UT.  She was preceded in death by her parents; three grandchildren, Paige Minix, Tyler Bergland, and Zachary Shaffer and sister, Margaret Rotruck.

Mrs. Lemert was a lifelong area resident.  She retired from International Wire (formerly Wirekraft) after thirty-five years of service.  She loved painting, calligraphy, college basketball, especially Notre Dame Women's basketball.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, July 24, 2015 at Palmer Funeral Home, 202 N. Main St., North Liberty, IN.  Friends may visit with the family from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.  Burial will take place at Westlawn Cemetery at a later date.
