Joyce (Jovien) Myer, age 75, from Osceola, Indiana, died at home on November 18th, 2023. Joy was born in Chicago, Illinois, and lived in Michigan City, Indiana, for most of her life. Joy enjoyed Bible study, gardening, reading, and visiting with long-time close friends. She had special memories of her country home near Michigan City, Indiana.

Joy married Larry Myer on October 14th, 1967. She is survived by her daughter, Natalie (Myer) Hapke of Osceola, her son, Bob Myer of Council Bluffs, and her grandchildren, Tyler Kintzele and Lauren Hapke, and great-grandson, Jayce. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Marge Jovien, her brother, Lee Jovien, and her husband, Larry Myer.

In accordance with Joy’s wishes, no services are planned at this time. A private cremation is planned.

Joy asked that in lieu of flowers or charitable donations, friends do an act of kindness in her memory.
