Judith A. (Zaborowski) Butts

Judith Ann (Zaborowski) Butts, 84, of Lakeville, passed away on Saturday June 20, 2026, at Trailpoint Village in South Bend.

Judith was born on September 10, 1941, in Valparaiso, IN to the late James and Helen (Lisak) Zaborowski.

On June 3, 1961, she married the love of her life, Robert, and the two shared their life together.

Judith owned and operated a coin store in Michigan City for several years.  She also owned and operated a saddle shop for many years.

Judith was a gifted organ player and enjoyed participating in bowling leagues.  She was a member of the Michiana Antique Auto Restorers Club along with several other antique car clubs.  She loved to drive her 1951 Mercury and throw flames at the car shows.  She collected antiques and enjoyed crafting and camping.  She had several horses and fostered many animals for Pet Refuge.  She is a past member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Lakeville and of Queen of All Saints in Michigan City.  She is a past member of Valparaiso Numismatic Society.  She loved the color purple, Batman, and cows.  In her later years she loved driving around in her red Hummer.

Judith is survived by her daughters, Christine (Aaron) Morrical and Sheryl (Mike) Thornton along with her grandson Robert Morrical and step grandchildren Alex Thornton and Breanna Thornton.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, and her parents.

Judith will be interred at St. Stanislaus Cemetery in Michigan City at 12pm EST on Friday June 26, 2026.
